1. Introduction
WasteVision LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our") operates an AI-powered waste and recycling operational intelligence platform delivered as a cloud-based SaaS service. This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your access to and use of our platform, including the WasteVision web application, cloud login portal, application programming interfaces (APIs), and all associated services and features (collectively, "Services"). This Policy complements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and applies to all customers, users, partners, and other parties accessing our Services. Violation of this Policy may result in suspension, termination, or other enforcement actions.
2. Permitted Use
You are permitted to use WasteVision Services solely for the following authorized purposes:
- Waste Management Operations: To monitor, analyze, and optimize your organization's waste collection, disposal, recycling, and contamination prevention operations using our AI-powered analytics and insights
- Business Intelligence: To generate reports, dashboards, forecasts, and analytics about your waste streams, operational efficiency, costs, and environmental metrics for internal business decision-making
- Regulatory Compliance: To track, document, and demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations, reporting requirements, and waste management standards applicable to your organization
- Performance Optimization: To identify opportunities to reduce waste generation, improve recycling rates, minimize contamination, optimize collection routes, and enhance overall operational performance
- Authorized Integration: To integrate WasteVision with your other business systems using our documented APIs, provided such integrations are conducted in compliance with this Policy and our API terms
All use of WasteVision Services must be conducted by authorized users, within the scope of your service plan or subscription agreement, and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited and violate this Acceptable Use Policy. Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and access to WasteVision Services:
Unauthorized Access & Security Breaches
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to WasteVision systems, servers, networks, or databases
- Use exploits, vulnerabilities, malware, or other techniques to compromise the security or integrity of our Services
- Attempt to bypass authentication mechanisms, encryption, or access controls
- Probe, scan, or perform network reconnaissance on WasteVision infrastructure without prior written authorization
- Access other users' accounts, data, or workspaces without proper authorization
- Perform brute force attacks, credential stuffing, or other password guessing techniques
Reverse Engineering & Intellectual Property
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying technology of WasteVision's AI models, algorithms, or machine learning systems
- Attempt to extract, copy, or reproduce WasteVision's proprietary algorithms, models, or technical methods through any means
- Use output from WasteVision to train competing or alternative AI models without explicit written permission
- Attempt to circumvent or bypass WasteVision's licensing, protection mechanisms, or usage restrictions
Data Extraction & Scraping
You may not:
- Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or scrapers to extract, download, or bulk-copy data from WasteVision
- Perform large-scale or systematic extraction of information from our platform beyond what is provided through normal user interface features
- Use web scraping, data mining, or data harvesting techniques on WasteVision content, analytics, or insights
- Create copies of our data for purposes other than authorized business operations within your organization
Competitive Use & Product Development
You may not:
- Use WasteVision or its data, insights, or outputs to develop, create, or enhance competing waste management, recycling, or AI-powered analytics products or services
- Benchmark WasteVision against your own proprietary systems for the purpose of developing competing functionality
- Use WasteVision as a research platform to develop alternative technologies that replicate our capabilities
- Share WasteVision insights or analytics with third parties for the purpose of developing competitive solutions
Malicious Code & System Interference
You may not:
- Upload, inject, or introduce malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other malicious code into WasteVision systems
- Attempt to disrupt, impair, or interfere with the normal operation, availability, or performance of WasteVision Services
- Perform denial-of-service (DoS), distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), or other attacks designed to overwhelm or crash our systems
- Introduce code that could compromise the security, functionality, or data integrity of WasteVision or other users' systems
Credential & Access Control Violations
You may not:
- Share, distribute, sell, or transfer your WasteVision login credentials, access tokens, API keys, or authentication credentials to unauthorized parties
- Allow unauthorized individuals to use your account or access credentials
- Use credentials from other users or accounts without explicit authorization
- Maintain inactive or shared service accounts that could be misused
Identity Misrepresentation
You may not:
- Misrepresent yourself as WasteVision staff, representatives, or authorized personnel
- Falsely claim affiliation with WasteVision or association with our Services
- Create accounts or identities using false, fraudulent, or misleading information
- Impersonate other users, organizations, or entities within WasteVision
Unauthorized Data Use & Privacy Violations
You may not:
- Use WasteVision data or insights for purposes other than those explicitly authorized in your service agreement
- Share, redistribute, sell, or license WasteVision data, analytics, or insights to third parties without proper authorization
- Use WasteVision to collect, process, or store personal information in violation of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Process personal data of individuals without appropriate legal basis, consent, or compliance measures
Service Disruption & Interference
You may not:
- Interfere with or disrupt access to WasteVision for other authorized users
- Perform testing, load testing, or performance testing against WasteVision infrastructure without prior written authorization
- Overload WasteVision Services through excessive API calls, requests, or data uploads
- Manipulate or interfere with the normal functioning of WasteVision platform features
4. Account Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your WasteVision account and credentials. You must:
- Protect Your Credentials: Keep your passwords, API keys, and authentication tokens confidential and secure. Use strong, unique passwords and change them regularly
- Monitor Access: Regularly review account access logs and activity to identify any unauthorized or suspicious access
- Report Breaches: Immediately notify WasteVision if you suspect your credentials have been compromised or unauthorized access has occurred
- Manage Users: Grant access to WasteVision only to authorized employees and contractors. Remove access when users leave your organization or change roles
- Use Multi-Factor Authentication: Enable and use multi-factor authentication (MFA) where available to enhance account security
- Secure Integration: If using WasteVision APIs, maintain security of your API keys and implement proper security measures in your integrations
5. Data Use Restrictions
WasteVision grants you a license to access and use data and insights generated by our platform for authorized business purposes within your organization. However, you may not:
- Redistribute, republish, or resell WasteVision data, analytics, or insights to third parties
- Incorporate WasteVision insights into products or services offered to external customers without explicit written agreement
- Use WasteVision data to benchmark or compare against your own proprietary operations in a manner that could be used to develop competing services
- License or assign your rights to WasteVision data or analytics to other organizations
- Create derivative works, aggregated datasets, or compilations of WasteVision data for external distribution
All data provided by WasteVision is proprietary to WasteVision LLC and is licensed for your internal business use only.
6. API Usage & Rate Limits
If you access WasteVision through our APIs, you must comply with the following requirements:
- Authentication: All API calls must include proper authentication credentials or tokens. API keys must be kept confidential and not shared
- Rate Limits: You must respect API rate limits specified in our API documentation. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary access restrictions
- Proper Identification: Your API calls must include appropriate user agent headers and identification so we can monitor usage and support you effectively
- Data Protection: When using APIs to access customer data, you must implement appropriate security measures to protect that data in transit and at rest
- Error Handling: Implement proper error handling and retry logic. Do not retry failed requests in rapid succession
- Monitoring: Monitor your API usage and implement controls to prevent excessive or abusive usage patterns
7. Intellectual Property Rights
WasteVision LLC retains all rights, title, and interest in our Services, platform, algorithms, AI models, interfaces, and all associated intellectual property. You acknowledge that:
- You do not own WasteVision intellectual property rights and acquire no ownership rights through your use of the Services
- WasteVision IP is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, and other intellectual property laws
- Your use of WasteVision does not grant you any right to modify, improve, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from our technology
- You may not copy WasteVision code, algorithms, interface designs, or other IP without explicit written permission
- You must respect all license restrictions, attribution requirements, and usage limitations applicable to WasteVision Services
8. Reporting Violations

9. Enforcement & Consequences

Warning
For minor or first-time violations, WasteVision may issue a formal warning and request that you cease the prohibited activity immediately. You will be given an opportunity to comply and demonstrate corrective action.
Temporary Suspension
For more serious violations or repeated non-compliance, WasteVision may temporarily suspend your account and access to Services while the matter is investigated. A temporary suspension may last from hours to days depending on the severity.
Account Termination
For severe violations, repeated violations after warnings, or activities that pose a security threat, WasteVision may permanently terminate your account and access to Services. Upon termination:
- Your access to WasteVision will be immediately revoked
- Any data you have uploaded may be deleted unless required to be retained by law
- You may forfeit any remaining service credits or subscription fees
- You will not be eligible for refunds
Legal Action
For violations involving security breaches, data theft, fraud, or other serious crimes, WasteVision reserves the right to pursue legal action and report the matter to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
10. Changes to This Policy
WasteVision LLC reserves the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website.
